Music therapy is the evidence based use of music to reach non-musical goals by a board certified music therapist (AMTA). Music therapy can address goals such as: communication so we may be seen and heard better, motor skills so we may feel more empowered in our body, academic so we may find joy in learning, emotional skills so we may understand more, social skills so we may be more connected, executive functioning so we may better navigate our daily lives, and spiritual health so we may feel more grounded.
PHILOSOPHY
Big pine music therapy believes that creativity paves many paths for a fulfilling life. Therapy is first and foremost, a safe space to get to know oneself. Therapist functions as a caring mirror. By cultivating knowledge, we become better equipped to understanding one another and even to try new approaches. Yeonsol comes from the lens of "navigation" and "transformation" rather than "fixing" or "removing." So, her focus is more on nurturing client strength while addressing areas of work.
